In the 255th episode of The Main Street Electrical Podcast, Jenn & Dave are still feeling the magical glow of a recent Disneyland trip - and to recap and review, it's time to bring in fan fave, #KylaKylaKyla!
First, a little WDW news with the closing announcement of Rivers of American and Liberty Belle, and then the Boneyard in Animal Kingdom, then over to the West Coast!
In a free flowing conversation, the trio tackles everything from Disney's massive laundry operation to Kyla not knowing .38 Special (what?) to Heather's butterfly garden tail to Fluid Gel (?) to Impossible Foods taking over to Krispy Kreme vs Dunkin vs local to scallops (pronounced "scallops" not "scallops") to Spike the Bee to Hot Beef. First, Jenn just returned from Disneyland and gives a quick update on the park, as well as a few tips for first time Landers. Then Heather gives her take on her recent Disney Wish voyage, and loving the ship - a new take on a previous opinion!
The Epcot Flower & Garden Festival starts today, and Mufasa has a release date... and then, a discussion about one of three new Universal Orlando hotels, Stella Nova Resort. We chat about the rooms, the resort location, getting to the new Epic park, overall resort categories, and where to stay on property if you are a family with more 4.

Back in August, Heather attended D23 in Anaheim and she, Jenn, d$, and #KylaKylaKyla spend a good hour+ discussing all the closings (Tom Sawyer Island, Dinoland) and all the things to come (Tropical Americas, Villains Land, etc), plus lots of speculation (this was recorded before we knew the fate of Muppet Courtyard and Monsters Inc Land.)

The big topic is the announcement of Muppet*Vision 3D closing, and the Muppets themselves moving across Hollywood Studios and taking over Aerosmith's Rock'n Roller Coaster, as everyone gives their own opinions on the idea, what can be done with the Muppets to preserve the 3D show, and why Disney isn't using current empty spaces.
Then, all four give their own thanks for things like Epic U giving Disney some competition... Walt coming back to Disneyland... that D23 was a great presentation (finally)... Spirit Airlines reviving... and even a hot take, being thankful that DinoLand is closing...

From the top of the show, with Patrick giving an intro, we cover overseas parks, the confusion of Fortnite, all the new ships coming, Avengers stuff in Disneyland, Coco getting a ride, and even Avatar. And crying over Walt.
Then, we take a long look at Walt Disney World, from the expected updates (Indiana Jones... confirmed! Encanto... confirmed!) and the surprises (Monsters Inc?! Cars?!) to the delights (new nighttime parade), and of course... the villains.
Also, how we all feel about losing Tom Sawyer Island as well as DinoLand, what Disney did right and what they may have missed during the weekend, and Jenn's super joy about losing the Bugs.
So the girls take the show on a series of their own rabbit trails, starting with Jenn's use of Disney mugs to Heather's frequent Disney trips (down the block, of course), almost becoming a cooking show.
Then they chat about the new details of the Disney Destiny, lamenting that it's Fort Lauderdale bound, the Heroes vs Villains concept, and what the new ship's names might be.
Then they look ahead to the upcoming D23 Fan Event, with lots of guesses of what might be announced - new lands, new attractions, could Mary Poppins be reinstated, what could happen at Hollywood Studios, and could Disney actually do a 5th gate?
First, Heather is always at Disney, Jenn is drinking the coffee, and Dave is running (walking) the 5Ks this summer. Jenn and Heather gives the update on the Disney Destiny, while Genie+ is gone, Multi Pass is here!
Then, by request of our wonderful listener Rory in PA, we discuss rides to get stuck on. And by "stuck", we mean ALL day... what attractions would you be fine with spending the day on, especially if it kept running? And what rides would be terrible, maybe disastrous for hours on end?
Plus, more proof that Heather does in fact love hippos.
First, a little catch up, as Jenn is back from most of her travels (with one more travel week to go!), and The Moana Mom Heather is getting ready for a Top of the World Experience later in the day.
All three have seen "Inside Out", two on a cruise ship and one with a ASD kid in tow, and all three give their reviews and opinions (mild spoilers).
Then Dave takes a backseat while Jenn and Heather both share their experiences aboard the Disney Dream, cruising through the Mediterranean Sea, stopping at several of the Greek ports.
Heather shares her fulfillment of a longtime dream... sort of... and Jenn shares her visit to the Colosseum and to Athens.

In the 200th episode of The Main Street Electrical Podcast, Jenn & Dave celebrate and high-fave making it almost four years and covering a milestone in the podcast.
To help commemorate the occasion, they welcome in the Quasi-Producer of the Show, The Moana Mom, aka Heather, and Past and Future Guest of the Show Derek Frank!
