Ep 244. The One with Even More Girl Chat
In the 244th episode of The Main Street Electrical Podcast, Jenn & Dave gives way to Jenn & Kyla & Heather, as Dave is finally on his Spring Adventures - so to fill the gap, fan favorite #KylaKylaKyla and the show's (quasi) producer Heather, aka The Moana Mom, are here to chat about Flower & Garden and whatever else comes to mind.
In a free flowing conversation, the trio tackles everything from Disney's massive laundry operation to Kyla not knowing .38 Special (what?) to Heather's butterfly garden tail to Fluid Gel (?) to Impossible Foods taking over to Krispy Kreme vs Dunkin vs local to scallops (pronounced "scallops" not "scallops") to Spike the Bee to Hot Beef. The ENCORE with D23 News
Today's ENCORE episode of the Main Street Electrical Podcast is one of Quasi-Producer Heather, aka The Moana Mom's, faves -- the one with the news from D23.
Back in August, Heather attended D23 in Anaheim and she, Jenn, d$, and #KylaKylaKyla spend a good hour+ discussing all the closings (Tom Sawyer Island, Dinoland) and all the things to come (Tropical Americas, Villains Land, etc), plus lots of speculation (this was recorded before we knew the fate of Muppet Courtyard and Monsters Inc Land.)

Ep 232. The One with Disney Thanksgiving
In the 232nd episode of The Main Street Electrical Podcast, the entire podcast crew comes together to say THANKS to the listening audience, as well as some thanks all around for Disney and for travel and more!
Upon a Star Jenn, d$, Quasi-Producer Heather (aka The Moana Mom) and fan favorite #KylaKylaKyla are all on the show today, all getting ready for an upcoming Disney Trip!
The big topic is the announcement of Muppet*Vision 3D closing, and the Muppets themselves moving across Hollywood Studios and taking over Aerosmith's Rock'n Roller Coaster, as everyone gives their own opinions on the idea, what can be done with the Muppets to preserve the 3D show, and why Disney isn't using current empty spaces.
Then, all four give their own thanks for things like Epic U giving Disney some competition... Walt coming back to Disneyland... that D23 was a great presentation (finally)... Spirit Airlines reviving... and even a hot take, being thankful that DinoLand is closing...
Plus, we all give thanks for YOU for the years of support and for listening to the show!

Ep 217. The One with D23
So much, in fact, that the entire podcast crew is here -- #KylaKylaKyla and Quasi Producer Heather, aka The Moana Mom, joins Jenn & Dave to discuss everything.
From the top of the show, with Patrick giving an intro, we cover overseas parks, the confusion of Fortnite, all the new ships coming, Avengers stuff in Disneyland, Coco getting a ride, and even Avatar. And crying over Walt.
Then, we take a long look at Walt Disney World, from the expected updates (Indiana Jones... confirmed! Encanto... confirmed!) and the surprises (Monsters Inc?! Cars?!) to the delights (new nighttime parade), and of course... the villains.
Also, how we all feel about losing Tom Sawyer Island as well as DinoLand, what Disney did right and what they may have missed during the weekend, and Jenn's super joy about losing the Bugs.

Ep 215. The One with the Rabbit Trails (and D23 Predictions)
In the 215th episode of The Main Street Electrical Podcast, Jenn is joined by Quasi-Producer Heather, aka The Moana Mom, as co-host Dave is down for the count with a shaky voice, having just getting over a summer cold. (he's fine, folks, he'll survive).
So the girls take the show on a series of their own rabbit trails, starting with Jenn's use of Disney mugs to Heather's frequent Disney trips (down the block, of course), almost becoming a cooking show.
Then they chat about the new details of the Disney Destiny, lamenting that it's Fort Lauderdale bound, the Heroes vs Villains concept, and what the new ship's names might be.
Then they look ahead to the upcoming D23 Fan Event, with lots of guesses of what might be announced - new lands, new attractions, could Mary Poppins be reinstated, what could happen at Hollywood Studios, and could Disney actually do a 5th gate?

Ep 214. The One with Being Stuck on a Disney Ride
In the 214th episode of The Main Street Electrical Podcast, Jenn & Dave are back together again on the mic, as Jenn's world travels finally stop... for now, anyway.
And back on the show again is our own Quasi-Producer Heather, aka The Moana Mom!
First, Heather is always at Disney, Jenn is drinking the coffee, and Dave is running (walking) the 5Ks this summer. Jenn and Heather gives the update on the Disney Destiny, while Genie+ is gone, Multi Pass is here!
Then, by request of our wonderful listener Rory in PA, we discuss rides to get stuck on. And by "stuck", we mean ALL day... what attractions would you be fine with spending the day on, especially if it kept running? And what rides would be terrible, maybe disastrous for hours on end?
Plus, more proof that Heather does in fact love hippos.

Ep 212. The One with Cruising the Med
In the 212th episode of The Main Street Electrical Podcast, Jenn & Dave are joined again by Quasi Producer Heather, aka The Moana Mom!
First, a little catch up, as Jenn is back from most of her travels (with one more travel week to go!), and The Moana Mom Heather is getting ready for a Top of the World Experience later in the day.
All three have seen "Inside Out", two on a cruise ship and one with a ASD kid in tow, and all three give their reviews and opinions (mild spoilers).
Then Dave takes a backseat while Jenn and Heather both share their experiences aboard the Disney Dream, cruising through the Mediterranean Sea, stopping at several of the Greek ports.
Heather shares her fulfillment of a longtime dream... sort of... and Jenn shares her visit to the Colosseum and to Athens.
They both give tips and thoughts on the ports and the crowds, and the unexpected stop that you should not miss!

Ep 211. The One with the Genie+ Changes
Heather, aka The Moana Mom, fills the co-host spot today and she and Dave jump into news immediately, with so much to discuss!
Starting out with Heather and her girls heading to Tiana's for an event (which allows them to ride over and over!), they discuss CommuniCore Hall in Epcot... the Fort Wilderness Cabins that have opened... the Eat to the Beat lineup coming in the fall (and what Justin Timberlake's best PR move could possibly be)... the dates for Jollywood and Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party... and more.
Then, an overview of the changes coming to Walt Disney World with Genie+... the new Multi Pass... the Single Day Pass... how it will (or should) work... some of the things you can and cannot do... and opinions on how Disney makes things harder than it ever has to be.

Ep 200. The One with the Attraction Bracket
In the 200th episode of The Main Street Electrical Podcast, Jenn & Dave celebrate and high-fave making it almost four years and covering a milestone in the podcast.
To help commemorate the occasion, they welcome in the Quasi-Producer of the Show, The Moana Mom, aka Heather, and Past and Future Guest of the Show Derek Frank!
Thanks to Derek's handiwork, the team of four look at an attraction bracket - 16 rides, shows and otherwise from each park, pitted one on one, and everybody has to pick the winners - just like March Madness, they keep going until the Best Attraction in Walt Disney World is finally declared... and we even get a little help from mostly third co-host Kyla.
Plus... the Tiffany vs Debbie debate finally hits the podcast.

Ep 198. The One with the Girls (NOT) Rope Dropping
In the 198th episode of The Main Street Electrical Podcast, Jenn & Dave become Jenn & Heather for a week, as d$ is currently running around Magic Kingdom (at the time of this recording) and Animal Kingdom (at the time of this episode release)!
So Quasi Producer Heather, aka The Moana Mom fills in the gaps, as she and Jenn talk this week's Disney News, D23, and some bold predictions for the future.
They also cover how to navigate the parks if you choose not to rope drop, and which situations that works best for! This and other magical chatter is up for grabs in this week's episode!

Ep 189. The One with the YouTube Show
In the 189th episode of The Main Street Electrical Podcast, Jenn & Dave do things just a bit differently this week. Because of out of whack schedules... or schedules that are not quite... N*Sync... today's ep is the audio version of the YouTube sensation that is sweeping the travel nation... sort of.
Upon a Star Travel features "Travel with the
Stars", a weekly show on the UAS YouTube channel, and we decided to give you a little taste of that show this time.
With Jenn hosting, and Dave joining in, Quasi-Producer Heather, aka The Moana Mom, also joins as well as Frequent Show Contributor and sort of 3rd co-host KylaKylaKyla to talk about all Epcot's Festival of the Arts, or "F'Arts", as it's known.
The food, the drink, the performances, and of course, the artistry both on stage and on canvas, and even some on the sidewalk are all covered here, as well as lamenting how short the festival is, and the prizes you can receive through various F'Arts passports.
Make sure to check out the actual show Travel with the Stars, but until then, enjoy this audio version!

Ep 187. The One with 2023 in Review
In the 187 episode of The Main Street Electrical Podcast, Jenn & Dave are back for the first show of the new year! And as per tradition, it's time to take one more look back at the year we just completed, with all of it's highs and lows. And also per usual, to do that, we bring in our own Quasi-Producer, the Moana Mom herself, aka Heather Kondas!
First, a New Year's celebration wrap up -- where was everyone, how was the party in Epcot (for Jenn), how was seeing the fireworks from the back porch (for Heather) and how was enjoying the New Year's from the comfort of his own couch (d$)
Then, Heather is solving the Disney World's problems, with the parking debacle at Disney Springs on New Year's Eve, and a closer look at the big day that was January 9th, brining back the Disney Dining Plan, and dropping the Park Pass Reservations (and what APs are dealing with)
And next, a look back, starting in January 2023, with the closing of Splash Mountain, to the end of December, with the new Summer House on the Lake -- and all in between, including new meet'n greets... Disney and Pixar's latest flicks... Tron and Journey of Water both opening... the Starcruiser closing... the chaos around Annual Passes returning... the Hatbox Ghost... Bears in the Kingdom... and that guy who jumped into the Lagoon. Don't do that.
Plus, a little emotion over Disney's best animated short in years.

Ep 186. The One with the Candlelight Processional... with Friends
In the 186th episode of The Main Street Electrical Podcast, Jenn & Dave close the year with what is now a tradition -- with the Candlelight Processional!
In year's past, both Jenn and Dave have taken turns reading the narration, pulled directly from the long standing classic annual production at Epcot, with the music from the show interspersed, but this year, they've asked a few Friends of the Show to pitch in and lend their voices to the narrations.Matt & Susie from The ImagineEars Podcast... Catron, Ryan, and Chris from IAmGeek... Derek Frank from Living with the Landspeeder... Melissa Reagan from The Food for Thoughtcast... and show faves Quasi Producer Heather and #KylaKylaKyla all assist, with Dave and Jenn of course.
What you'll hear in this show is nearly the exact show you'd hear if you attended the CLP over the holiday season at Epcot. So we hope you enjoy our presentation of The Candlelight Processional.
All rights of music go to the writers, composers, and producers of the musical works themselves, as well as the script of the narration to those who adapted it for the show.

Ep 183. The One with Walt's Luminous Magic
In the 183rd episode of The Main Street Electrical Podcast, Jenn & Dave are pumped about the Epcot walls coming down and all the new things opening up. And to give the full scoop, Quasi-Producer Heather, aka The Moana Mom, stops by.
In the news, a little about the new resorts coming to Universal Orlando... after hours events at Disneyland... Pixar films coming to theaters... and an update on the Hatbox Ghost.
Then Heather gives her first hand account on visiting Walt the Dreamer statue... the new pathway lights at Epcot's entrance... a review of the new nighttime spectacular, Luminous: The Story of Us... and looking at what's coming.

Ep 166. The One with Walt's Apartment
First up, a quick nod to the legendary Jim Korkis and what he meant to the hosts and to the Disney community, and how his passing will be grieved.
Then... Disneyland is the topic once more, as Heather also recounts her trip -- while last week's guests, Upon a Star Jess and Bluebird Emily gave their first (and second) hand perspective, this time Heather and Dave have more of a historical conversation.
Heather and her daughters took the Walt's Main Street Story Tour (formerly "Walking in Walt's Footsteps") and ended up in Walt's apartment, which makes for a great chat about legacy and history.
Also, they checked out "Rogers: The Musical", which leads to wondering if the hugely popular show will extend it's run there -- and ways it can possibly come to Walt Disney World.

Ep 157. The One with Disney Springs Dining
LISTEN TO THE SHOW HERE!!
In the 157th episode of The Main Street Electrical Podcast, Jenn & Dave aren't together this time - as Upon a Star Jenn is returning from a well deserved week at Walt Disney World, so Dave brings on Frequent Show Contributor #KylaKylaKyla and Quasi-Producer Heather to discuss one of all of our fave subjects... food at Disney Springs!
First, Heather "The Moana Mom" talks about her recent move, and settling in, to her new home right behind Coronado Springs, only a few miles from property -- and the feeling of being able to leave the living room and be in front of the castle an hour later.
Then, #KylaKylaKyla talks a little about her home in New Hampshire, visiting Boston nearby, as well as the 17 miles of the coastline.
A little news goes over the sold out Star Wars Starcruiser... Splash Mountain finally closing... Rock'n Roller Coaster finally re-opening... and 2024 now available.
Then, a roundtable discussion on the best dining that Disney Springs has to offer... quick services, including love for The Polite Pig... table service like The Boathouse and Chef Art's and Splitsville... the best snacks, including big pretzels and dancing corn dogs and poutine. And of course, all the drinks like Cold Brews and margaritas and cookies and more.
