Then he shares what he learned over the last week, having an autistic kid in the park - some recommendations, including possibly getting a medical stroller... using the wheelchair tag... working the way around the park... and then, utilizing the disability areas in Magic Kingdom for both Happily Ever After fireworks and the new Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away parade (and how he and the kid had a massive spot all to themselves)

Ep 246. The One with Disney on the Spectrum

LISTEN TO THE SHOW!!

In the 246th episode of The Main Street Electrical Podcast, Jenn & Dave are doing a sort-of part 2 to last week's episode - about Autism on the Disney Cruise - with a discussion about Autism in the parks!

First up, an Epic Universe update with the just announced soft opening, and what to expect (and how to get in!)

Then, the first of a new segment of Travel Tips... pay attention to your TSA line! Including MCO, which has a habit of closing their TSA pre-check early! And get your STAR ID!

Finally, a revisit to previous ep 120, when they discussed special needs in the parks - with the newer DAS qualifications, they chat about d$'s recent trip to the parks, working with DAS and dietary restrictions, and helpful tips to navigate with Autism and more. (as always, d$'s family's experience will be different than yours so with all advice, your mileage may vary.)

Oh, and what happens when you lose your kid in the Magic Kingdom. Because that happened.

LISTEN TO THE SHOW HERE!!

We do a little chit-chat and catch up on how the trio connected, both on the Disney Wish, and at the Prince 1/2 Marathon, and then Sarah gives the background on the funny and memorable name Purple Banana Travel.

Then, Jenn, d$, and Sarah Goes Bananas share some tried and tested Travel Hacks -- some of their favorite tips regarding passports (watch that expiration date!) and flights (using medical pre-board with special needs) and car rentals (debit cards - bad!) and all-inclusives (tipping is key!) and even some Disney -- tips with the kids and without.

Don't miss this great conversation from three travel professionals giving you all kinds of wisdom that you may not think about... even packing tips!
