Ep 208. The One with Tiana's & Magic Kingdom

In the 208th episode of The Main Street Electrical Podcast, Jenn & Dave have two totally different schedules, as Jenn is in the midst of her busy summer travel schedule and is out until the very end of the show. 

Friend of the show and fan fave #KylaKylaKyla steps in to co-host, as she's getting ready for her own show, while Dave discussed signing his son up for the DAS pass.

Kyle and Dave then chat about the new popcorn buckets at Hollywood Studios... the thirsty guest in 7 Dwarfs Mine Train... the walls coming down in Epcot... and Kyla's feelings about CommuniCore.

Then, they do a Magic Kingdom run-through, giving Kyla a chance to publicly declare her MK faves in a game we call "Love It, Like It, or Meh". 

Finally, Kyla steps out for kid duty, and Jenn joins the show for the last few minutes to give her review of CommuniCore, the new Disney Dreams that Soar drone show, and of course, Tiana's Bayou Adventure.

Right off the top, they dive into more updates on Tiana's Bayou Adventure, then spend a little time on Universal's Epic Universe big release last week, the Isle of Berk. And Dave spends time explaining to Jenn what that exactly is. 

Finally, Dave shares some of his experience with the Disability Access Service (DAS) that his family used over the last week, and some strategy behind it - what do you do after you get it set up and now are looking for an attraction.

Ep 120. The One with Special Needs in the Parks

In the 120th episode of The Main Street Electrical Podcast, Jenn & Dave are split up this week, as Jenn is kayaking down the Pacuare River and ziplining with spider monkeys in the rainforest of Costa Rica.  So stepping in for hosting duties again is Quasi Producer and Third Host Heather, aka The Moana Mom!

Dave & Heather discuss the prospects of Tron's opening day (this fall? Next year??), and an update on Moana's Journey of Water attraction. Plus, Heather gives a rundown the pros and cons of Magic Band+, Dave gives the update on Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party selling out, and looking ahead to D23.

Then, with both Heather and Dave having special needs in their families, they discuss having special needs in the parks. Dealing with meltdowns, special dining, lining up party nights, taking breaks, using the DAS pass (and who shouldn't use it), strollers and wheelchairs, and sharing their own tips and ideas and experiences with both Autism/cognitive disabilities and physical limitations.
