Ep 176. The One with the Love of Magic

LISTEN TO THE SHOW HERE

In the 176th episode of The Main Street Electrical Podcast, Jenn & Dave are back together again, at least on the Zoom screen!

After catching up a little on recent travels and future travels, Jenn gives her take on recent Disney news, like the Park Hopping 2pm rule ending (she's for it!) and Candlelight Processional's narrator lineup (she's for it!) and the newest promos and discounts coming up (she's for that too!)

Then, Jenn and Dave take a deep dive into the 9 minute Disney short film, "Once Upon a Studio" as they give their glowing review.  They walk through the short a little at time, giving Easter Eggs and things to see, as well as pointing out some of the more obscure characters you'll find through out.

Finally, in honor of Disney's 100th anniversary, they have a meaningful conversation on what "Disney" truly means to each of them -- from their first Disney memories to first Disney movies to the moments they knew they'd be Disney lifers.  And yes, both get a little emotional, so stick around for the dust in the room.

Ep 106. The One with Jenn's Birthday Trip

LISTEN TO THE EPISODE HERE!!

In the 106th episode of The Main Street Electrical Podcast, Jenn & Dave make it short and sweet this week... as it's JENN'S BIRTHDAY (or it was, anyway, a few days ago...)

And literally, an hour or so after we turned the mics off, she boarded a plane headed to The Most Magical Place on Earth (see Mr. Chapek, WE know what its called) -- so before she goes, she and d$ have a random, fun chat...

A quick review of Chip n Dale's Rescue Rangers... a preview of Jenn's trip... choosing Narcoosees or Citricos... why monorail resorts rule... why The Contemporary is even a little better... a rundown of Epcot's Eat to the Beat lineup at this fall's Food & Wine Festival... plus Campbell, aka Pocket Change, makes an appearance briefly as family life creeps in.

A quick show but still a fun 30 minutes of chuckles and Magic!

Ep 083. The One with What to Watch on Disney+

 LISTEN TO THE EPISODE HERE!!

In the 83rd episode of The Main Street Electrical Podcast, Jenn & Dave welcome back to the show d$'s fellow host on The Deucecast Movie Show, Michael Nipp, to discuss some Disney+

First up, Mikey introduces his new Plushy, and then they all discuss the latest in Indy's return... new refurbs... sold out events... and a Disney prop for sale.

Then, a dive into Disney+ for some of the best streaming options in the Star Wars world (Visions! Mando! Boba Fett), over in Marvel (Hawkeye! Loki! WandaVision! Falcon!), then movies in general, including quick reviews of both Encanto and even West Side Story.

Plus, Jenn's mini Anne Hathaway rant, Greedo noises, and The Beatles.

022. The One with Disney Hot Takes

In the 22nd episode of The Main Street Electrical Podcast, Jenn & Dave open the show with some Funko Disney'ing, including a brain freeze from Dave, plus when you are no longer a "new" radio station.

Then, Ryno Clavin from The Dis Unplugged (and numerous other shows!) joins the hosts for some Disney "hot takes"... things that they like that most people don't, and things that they don't like that most people do.

Thoughts on Hocus Pocus and Disney+... transportation options... resort snobbery (Jenn!)... popular attractions that aren't that great... and many more opinions, laughs and more. Then, a Magical Moment that will make you toss your cookies.

112. The One with runDisney

LISTEN TO THE SHOW HERE

In the 12th episode of The Main Street Electrical Podcast, Jenn & Dave start the show with their Disney'ing weeks, including planning trips and physical therapy wardrobes

In the latest news:

• The newest (and not the best) Disney quarterly report
• "Mulan" heading to Disney Plus
• Splash Mountain gets sunk.

Then, Friend of the Show HeighHo Sarah Bergman joins up to talk all things runDisney... the characters, the outfits, the corrals, the start times, the extra things everyone should know,

It's a great start-to-finish conversation to help the uninitiated get started, and to remind the runDisney veteran about everything they should know!

And catch the Magical Moments at the end of the conversation with Heigh Ho Sarah.

Plus -- an upcoming contest to celebrate National Book Lovers Day coming up soon!  Visit The Main Street Electrical Podcast on Facebook starting Thursday afternoon and make your book choice... one fan of the page & show will win the Disney book they choose!

105. The One with the Pixar Attractions

LISTEN TO THE SHOW HERE

In the 5th episode of The Main Street Electrical Podcast, Jenn & Dave have a packed show this week.

Upon a Star Meredith's Rose Ears that are the subject
of this week's Magical Moment

First up, some updated reopening news, including 2021 air travel, new bag checks, and rumored resort cancelations

Then, a review of Artemis Fowl, now on Disney+, and a larger conversation on Disney's recent bad  adaptations, including The Nutcracker and Wrinkle in Time, and how great the Chronicles of Narnia films are.

Finally, Jenn & Dave take a look at the Pixar films and properties that do not have Disney attractions -- and it's their job to take existing attractions and match them with a Pixar movie.

Test Track gets a retheme... Dinosaur! gets a new look... even classics like Peter Pan's Flight aren't safe!  Plus a earful Magical Moment!

And make sure you check out our friend Katrina Stone, songwriter and singer -- she did the ending voice over and deserves all the acclaim.
